An important milestone for the Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus, University Hall incorporates academic and administrative space for the Indiana University administration, the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and the School of Social Work. It also serves as the home to the IUPUI Office of Alumni Relations and IU Foundation. IUPUI, a partnership between Indiana and Purdue universities, is Indiana’s urban research and academic health sciences campus. The $20.4 million, 100,000 square foot project is located at the heart of the urban campus. With close proximity to the Cultural Trail, the Indiana State Capitol, White River State Park (home of the Indiana State Museum and Indianapolis Zoo), Downtown Canal Walk and the Indiana Avenue cultural district, the urban campus is an extension of downtown Indianapolis. The project was completed in 2015 on behalf of Indiana University, achieving LEED for New Construction (LEED-NC) gold certification.
