Oak Park Arts redefines and re-anchors a nine block arts corridor fronting Harrison Street west of Austin Boulevard. With a variety of galleries, specialty boutiques and unique restaurants, the district has evolved into a dynamic maker destination serving Oak Park and the broader community. Fronting the north and south sides of Harrison, the master plan incorporates nearly 42,000 square feet of retail and live/work space, accommodating approximately 15 tenants. Oak Park Arts is located adjacent the Austin CTA Blue Line station — providing direct access to the Illinois Medical District, UIC and downtown Chicago. The master plan infuses tactical design strategies by Interface Studio Architects LLC (ISA) under the direction of Campbell Coyle and Ranquist Development. Flexhouse, a new construction live/work component, was designed with the artist and entrepreneur in mind, delivering flexible row homes, catalyzing new energy with an inspirational aesthetic. The live/work aspect allows artists and small business owners to work alongside a re-envisioned retail corridor — incorporating makers, a yoga studio and new restaurants — the future of Oak Park Arts.
