Campbell Coyle teamed with The Friends of the Geneva Theater to re-establish the Geneva Theater as a community arts venue. The Friends, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, was founded in 2011 to foster the cultural and artistic needs of Lake Geneva area residents and visitors, while also preserving and supporting the historic Geneva Theater. Through an innovative public/private/not-for-profit partnership model, Campbell Coyle and The Friends of the Geneva Theater advocated for and executed on a strategic plan to revitalize the historically significant 1928 theater. The City of Lake Geneva committed $895,000 in the form of a tax increment financing grant while The Friends of the Geneva Theater contributed additional funding to establish a community performance venue enabling access for community-based organizations. The project’s developer, Plaza Media, completed the project in 2017, re-establishing an important anchor for downtown Lake Geneva.
